It doesn't take much for a wildfire to go ripping through a community. The simple flick of a lit cigarette into the brush could be all it takes to make the flames erupt, potentially destroying homes, wildlife, and even decimating entire communities in the process. If you live in a town that is particularly susceptible to wildfires, you need to be prepared. Purchasing a smoke particle mask should be at the top of your list. It's a great way for you to protect yourself should a fire occur.
You Might Not Be Able To Evacuate
Because you know that your area is known for wildfires, your first recourse might be to create an evacuation route. You assume that if a wildfire occurs, it should be very easy for you to pack up the car and head out of town.
Although this may seem like a solid plan while you are formulating it in your head, reality can serve you a harsh wake-up call. What if the entry and exit points of your community are corded off and no one is able to leave? There Is More To Smoke Than Just Smog
Thick smoke can contain so much more than just smog. There could be microscopic particles in the smoke that are quite harmful if you breathe them in. You wouldn't want to risk damaging your lungs simply because you inhaled dangerous particles that injured your internal organs. Let the smoke particle mask protect you so you'll be good as new after the flames have passed.
Start up a small backpack bundle that contains the mask and everything else you need in the event of a fire. Keep it in a safe place and you'll be ready if the unexpected happens and a wildfire breaks out near you.
